Supporting families facing one of life’s toughest tests.
The Ruth Strauss Foundation proudly marked the seventh edition of our flagship fundraising day, #RedforRuth, on Friday, 11 July 2025.
This year, we returned to the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground for a powerful day of unity, remembrance, and support during the 3rd Men’s Test between England and India. The ground turned red as players, fans, and broadcasters came together to honour families navigating the heartbreak of losing a parent.
#RedforRuth Match Funding
For the second year in a row, the Freddie Green & Family Charitable Trust generously matched donations made on #RedforRuth Day, up to £75,000 – doubling the impact of every contribution. Thanks to their incredible support, and the generosity of all who donated, we raised vital funds to support families facing the devastating reality of an incurable cancer diagnosis.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, wore red, and helped us continue Ruth’s legacy.

50 Prints Available
#RedforRuth 2025 Autographed Joe Root Prints
The exclusive limited edition series of signed #RedforRuth prints is back.
Featuring England hero Joe Root, celebrating his 37th Test century on #RedforRuth Day – Day Two of the 3rd Rothesay Test Match between England and India at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 11 July 2025. That same day, Joe also broke the record for the most catches by a non-wicketkeeper in Test history (211) – making this print a true collector’s piece.
A limited run of just 50 prints is available, each one hand-signed by Joe Root.
All funds raised from the event will help us offer more families hope and resilience when a parent has an incurable cancer.
