CEO Karina Murtagh gets ready to turn #RedForRuth for the Foundation’s 2nd time running – this time at Emirates Old Trafford.
It’s almost a year since the inaugural #RedforRuth day and the team is ramping up its efforts in preparation for this year’s annual fundraising day which is set to take place on Saturday 25th of July at Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford.
”We are all very aware that covid-19 has thrown a spanner into a lot of fundraising initiatives and events but we won't let this deter us! We were delighted with the support we received for our 2.6 challenge initiative, which really set the tone for fundraising during during these challenging times.
Although unfortunately the game will have to be played behind closed doors to ensure everyone's safety, we are looking forward to engaging our supporters and will continue to raise much needed awareness of the work we do through social media in the lead up to #RedforRuth day and through the Sky Sports & BBC lens on the actual day.
We can't wait to turn cricket red on the day and are calling on the cricket family to unite to help us support families facing grief.
