This training day is designed for cancer and palliative care professionals who work directly with patients. To get the most from this advanced session, participants should be:

Keyworkers with clinical responsibility and actively involved in patient care and decisions
Professionals with established patient relationships providing ongoing support and care
Those with Level 2 psychology and advanced communication skills training - ready to build on existing expertise

This typically includes oncology clinical nurse specialists, allied health professionals, palliative care specialists, community nurses, doctors, and oncologists.

This new course is appropriate for support staff, trainees, students and volunteers working in hospitals, cancer information/support centres, and hospices.
