With your help, we did it!

Thank you so much to you and all of our other wonderful supporters for taking part in this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge.

We had a target to raise £20,000 between Tuesday 3rd – Tuesday 10th December, where your donation was doubled by our ‘Champion Funder’ The Reed Foundation and 2 other Pledge Funders, through the Big Give.

We smashed our target and then some!

Through your generosity, we hit our £20,000 target which was doubled to £40,000 and in total raised an amazing £45,152!

This will help double the hope for families living with an incurable cancer diagnosis, as this campaign will enable us to double the amount of counselling hours we can offer to parents when their families face one of life’s toughest tests.

Our amazing celebrity ambassador

Did you catch our rendition of a Christmas classic?

Our ambassador, Nigel Harman, picked up a camera to film his own version of that iconic Love Actually scene, complete with an RSF bucket hat and Christmas bauble earrings. His take on the scene is as charming and festive as ever, bringing his own unique twist to the holiday classic.

We think you look amazing, Nigel, and we can’t thank you enough for your continued support. Your enthusiasm and creativity always bring a smile to our faces!

Watch out, Keira Knightley and Andrew Lincoln! We’ve got Nigel in our corner, and we’re definitely backing him for a Love Actually sequel. Who knows, he might just steal the show!

Our impact

Victoria Fawdry, our Family Support Service Manager, talks to us about the incredible impact your donations will have as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the matching funds available during this campaign, every contribution you make will be doubled, allowing us to extend our reach and provide even more support to those who need it most this holiday season.

Victoria shares how these funds will directly benefit families in need, helping us to offer essential services, resources, and a brighter future for those facing challenges. Your support truly does make a world of difference.

Double your Donation

Last Year’s Event

Last year, your much valued donations raised over an amazing £48,000, thanks to the Big Give, our pledged funders and our champion funder, The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust.

Thanks to your support, we were able to recruit our Schools Programme Lead, Robyn Ramsell, and Schools Manager, Emily Burford.

Check out the video to find out the ongoing impact your donation has made and will continue to make with our School Support Programme.

Thank you so much for your support in the last two years as we have took part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. We could not make the positive change we are making to the lives of families facing grief without your support.

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas filled with love and special memories.

With very best wishes,

Team RSF
